Prosecco & Planner Pairings

Prosecco & Planner Pairings

Yes, this is literally what this post is about.

National Prosecco Day is on August 13. If you were following my blog last year, you’ll remember my primer about Prosecco, as well as 13 ways you can enjoy the sparkling wine. Looking back, planners were underrepresented in that post so I decided this year I would go through the fun activity of pairing Prosecco cocktails with planners based on their cover and design. Keep reading to see which ones I came up with and let me know in the comments if you agree with my selections!

Hibiscus Prosecco

Directions: Put a hibiscus flower and 1 tbsp of its syrup in the bottom of a glass, then pour over Prosecco. According to BBC Good Food, “Don't discard the flower – it tastes of raspberry and rhubarb.”

Planner Pairing:

2019-2020 Abrie James by KITLIFE Weekly Academic Planner | Floral
This dainty, floral patterned planner gives me all of the refreshing, fragrant floral vibes that pair perfectly with the Hibiscus Prosecco cocktail.

Cranberry Lemonade Spritzer

Directions: Pour chilled Prosecco into champagne glass and top with a splash of cranberry juice to give light pink color. Half a fresh lemon and squeeze into your champagne glass to desired taste.

Planner Pairing:

Q5 Signature Rose Blush Quilted Vegan Leather Agenda Cover | NOTIQ

This classic quilted pattern is brightened and made modern by a millennial pink blush vegan leather.

Bellini

Directions: Put a tablespoon of white peach puree into the bottom of a chilled champagne glass. Afterward, fill the glass slowly with Prosecco so it stirs up the puree. Alternatively, replace the white peach puree with 1 ounce peach schnapps and 2 ounces of peach nectar.

Planner Pairing:

Natural Peach | All-In-One Planner (Daily, Weekly & Monthly) | Ivory Paper Co.

The classic peach cover from Ivory Paper Co. seems tailor made for the bellini lover, so this pairing was a no-brainer!

Basil French 75

Directions: Muddle basil leaves with a wooden spoon and then mix with a tablespoon of granulated sugar in a shaker. Add 1/2 ounce of gin, 1/2 ounce of lemon juice, and ice. Shake, and strain into a cocktail glass. Add ice and Prosecco.

Planner Pairing:

Academic Year 2020-2021 Daily Planner: Lily of the Valley | Day Designer

Romantic, old-fashioned, and pretty, this Day Designer cover inspires a more sophisticated drink with herbs and layers of flavor.

Apple Cider Mimosa

Directions: Grab a chilled champagne flute or cocktail glass and pour equal parts Apple Cider and Prosecco. Garnish with a thin slice of Honeycrisp apple.

Planner Pairing:

Daily Undated Luxe Champagne | Passion Planner

The planner itself is called Luxe Champagne! But if you want to take a straight glass of Prosecco and make it a little more interesting, give the Apple Cider Mimosa a try this fall.

So what do you think of the Prosecco cocktails and their planner pairings? Would you have recommended something different?

Tell me what planner you’re using and what cocktail you’d pair with it!
